Ellens still life proposal
I feel that the maneuverability of the view camera would really lend itself to the type of miniatures that I built sophomore year out of food. I plan on building a landscape out of similar materials but am in the process of deciding whether I would create an imaginary world or an actual place.

I am glad that you decided to return to your miniatures in this new format, I think it will really add to work. Have you considered building the sets on a much more expansive scale? Maintaining the size proportions, but increasing the amount and size of the landscape. I forget which artist, but Joseph placed a photographer in the list of Still Life-ers that worked with large size small scale and they look like an alien, untouched world. Have you considered the implications of building big?
